Sneaky Greens How to Hide Healthy Food in the Junk Your Kids Love edition by Janice P Moffett Cookbooks Food Wine eBooks Reviews
It's a really helpful book. I don't have children yet but I'm interested in replacing junk food with healthy one. It's necessary for me to keep fit and look better. There are really interesting ideas, I've never heard of them before. The dishes aren't very difficult in cooking and 100% healthy because they were made up for children. If you're looking for the recipes of delicious and healthy food, this book is for you.
Kids never like to eat vegetables, my little cousin dislikes vegetables a whole lot, he hand picks them in any meal its used but with the great motive this book has, have been inspired with intriguing ways to turn vegetables into a fun and fatty way in his meals.
A very simple preparation technique with directions on creating Vegetable into a new fun and delicious format.
His favorite now is the dark chocolate cake, in less than an hour, I serve with cream cheese icing and he enjoys it.
Based on the title, this book wasn't what I expected. I thought it would help me get picky eaters to eat more leafy greens. Very few of the recipes included leafy greens (though a variety of other veggies are included), and many aren't well hidden. Tortellini bake with layers of veggies? Sounds good to me, but that's not for picky eaters. To me, "hidden" means the child can't eat around the veggies nor see that they're there. Also, most of the recipes aren't what I would call "junk food," except the chocolate cake with beets or the brownies with eggplant.
So no, it's not what I expected, but it's not bad. I plan to try a few of the recipes, and the directions look easy to follow.
